Finally a good cut to the chase software devlopment book

A great book, although a bit smaller then most UML books, this is one of those instances that quality definitely came out on top over quantity.

The first section reviews UML in general, what the symbols are and when and how to use them.

Section two is the real meat of the book, showing what every person wanting to learn programming always has a problem with, and usually turns out to be that turning point where they give up learning to program. Its not the learning of a language syntax and its nuances that is the real challenge of learning to program (although at times . . .). It is trying to come up with an application or object oriented script that fits a need you must address, and then the process of figuring out how you should build it from an OO point of view. Section two has 2 chapters. Each has an example of taking a high level idea and breaking it down using the "Bridge" method used in this book, until you finally have a complete UML class diagram. At which point you can then start your coding in the OO language of your choice.

Section three is more or less a repeat of section two only the answers and examples are not provided for you. Section 3 is a set of exercises. Concepts of applications (customer requirements doc) are provided and you do the UML designs.

Section 2 though is where all the real action is at.

I give this book 4 stars and not 5 because of two things:

I. An authors version of the answers to section 3 are not provided to you for comparison to the results you come up with after going through exercise.

II. The UML used in this book is still based on UML 1.x and not 2.x. This book is great but screams for a second edition written with UML 2.x in mind.

This book is essentially a prayer book containing several different prayer programmes of which one is that of 'Jehu Prayers' It is recommended for those who are already accustomed to spiritual warfare praying at the highest level. The nature of King Jehu, a former army commander to drive furiously and kill mercilessly was used by God to eliminate the house of King Ahab who propagated Baal worship in the land. These prayers reflect that radical nature required to break the occult power of their witchcraft, and are accurately bible based and cover all aspects of the scenes of elimination. Personally, I would prefer a less heavy book with the contents giving page numbers, similar to Prayer Rain or Prayer Passport. However the prayers are powerful with unfolding spiritual revelation imparted to the author in more recent times that would touch deep areas in deliverance ministry. It is extremely relevant and highly recommended for today.

There are 3 recently published books covering the physics component of the First FRCR, which are updated to reflect the new curriculum. Out of all of them, I think this one is the best and most comprehensive. All in all, if you were to choose to invest in one book for the Physics module, I would definitely buy this one. Amazon review This book most accurately reflects the level of the FRCR part 1 physics paper. I failed my first attempt at the exam, by preparing using an online service (which shall remain nameless) and some of the lesser MCQ books. My second attempt was successful, in no small part due to this book which, whilst very dry indeed, matches quite closely the actual exam questions in scope and difficulty. If you can get most of the questions in this correct, then you should be fine for the exam.

Key Book to Buy to prepare for Physics FRCR 1 module

This is an excellent text for preparing for the FRCR physics module. The explanations are very helpful in saving time as the exam approaches. I used this along with the Cambridge FRCR 1 physics text and the FRCR get through physics text. Together all bases were covered and the exam was easy. Of all the texts though I found this the best (Buy this one if you can buy only one book) but realistically you do need at least the "get through" as an adjunct to get to see enough variation in question types to handle the exam with ease. The big selling point for this text is the detailed explanations of the answers. The section explaining effective doses does however need a minor revision to be in line with the latest data.

hard for beginners

book should be simplified and not too complex. people are reading this book because its easily available( though good in parts) but most of questions dosenot match with exam format
many unnecessary numbers and details are provided, however can be done if one is through textbook very very thoroughly
exam will be based on basic fundamentals and hardly there is ditto question from any MCQ book

I hate it when authors try to make more money and just cut a book in the middle. The story needs to be somehow developed before you write "to be continued". Feels like you just want your readers to pay twice for the same book. Increase your prices of you need to but respect us readers enough to provide us with a finished book.
